Our Uganda Story

Single origin coffees from East Africa can be quite special. Uganda has been producing small lots of good coffee for many years.

In Idi Amin’s time, this coffee went from Kampala to Hamburg by 747 aircraft. The farmers received a pittance.

All that has changed now and the focus on quality and supply chain are refined. At last, farmers are receiving a premium for effort.

We have good links with producers, and have established regular and reliable trade. This coffee has a similar flavour profile to the best of Kenya and is unique.
